Wanna know how you can be saved?
Since I put the link to this blog in my Instagram and Twitter bio, I have no idea who is seeing this. It could be anyone from anywhere in the world that has internet access. So! If you are seeing this and would like to accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Savior, below are verses that will help you do just that.
The first is one of the most well-known verses that gives
the Gospel:
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached
to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being
saved, if you hold fast to the words I preached to you-unless you believed in
vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that
Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried,
that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.”
Before you accept Christ, though, you must realize that you
are a sinner. Roman 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory
of God.”
If you do not believe that you are a sinner, 1 John 1:8
says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is
not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Yes, you are a sinner, but in Isaiah it says, “But he was
pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the
punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
(53:5)
Romans 10:13, “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord
will be saved.”
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by
works, so that no one can boast.”
You will never do enough works to be acceptable in God’s
eyes. The 10 commandments are hard to live up to and that is not even all the
commandments God has given. Since we would never measure up, we need a
Savior. In the old days, they would sacrifice burnt offerings to God, well we
are not living in those days, so Jesus was that sacrifice that made us clean in
God’s eyes. That is why you will hear people say they are, “washed in the
blood.” In order to be cleansed though, you must accept what Jesus did for you,
admit that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, believe that Jesus was born,
lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross for you and me, died, and rose
again three days later, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. After
you do this, though, your life is not promised to be perfect and full of
rainbows and butterflies, you will have problems just like everyone else. God
has a plan for your life as cliché as that sounds, everything you are going through
is preparing you for that plan.
You hear it all the time, “Jesus loves you.” We hear it so much
that we do not think about it. Unbelievers do not think about it, and then us that
already are Christians get de-sensitized to it. Jesus loved you so much that He
went though hell on earth, so that you could be in heaven with him. Think about
that! Your earthly dad may let you down, you may not even know him, but your
heavenly Father will never let you down.
If you would like to be saved today, say something like the prayer
I am putting below, and do not just say it, but believe it in your heart and
you will be saved.
“I acknowledge that you, Jesus, are the Son of God. I believe
that you died on the cross, that your blood was shed for my sins and that you
arose from the grave and conquered death. I understand that I was born a sinner
and that I have sinned by disobeying your commandments. I ask you to forgive me
of my sins. Please change my heart to be like Yours- loving and full of
forgiveness. Help me to obey your teachings as recorded in the Bible. Bring
people in my life that can help me on this new path. Be my Savior. Be my Lord. Thank you
for saving me from death and for giving me new life. Amen.”
If you said that prayer and meant it, I am so happy for
you!! Please send me a message and I will gladly talk to you. If you are
reading this and do not have a Bible for some reason, message me and let me know.
To God be the glory.
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he
is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become
new.”
You will still sin after giving your life to Christ, remember,
we are all sinners. You are not perfect, but you are a new creature in Christ
Jesus.
Your family and friends may not love your new lifestyle, but
do not let that get to you. John 15: 18, “If the world hates you, ye know that
it hated me before it hated you.”
John 16:33, “In this world, you will have trouble. But take
heart! I have overcome the world.”
Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind”
John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one
and only Son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.”
People always quote John 3:16 but do not miss the verse after it!!! It reads, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:17)
